SEMI ANILINE LEATHER

(Velvet like appearance)

This is a very soft feeling leather which is drum dyed with penetrating aniline dyes. It is then treated with a thin matching urethane coating to assist in preventing permanent soiling.

Hint: A good test to find out whether or not your leather has a urethane top coat or not is to wet your fingers in water and press them lightly on to the leather surface. If the moisture soaks into the hide then your leather has no protective top coat, eg. Nubuck, suede and rawhide.
